Experience Summary:
Mr. Tamanaha joined the firm in 1996 and provides Fukunaga & Associates, Inc. with a wealth of construction experience as well as basic civil engineering expertise.  From 1961 to 1967, he worked for the Honolulu BWS as a Construction and Design Engineer, and then worked at the City & County of Honolulu’s Department of Wastewater Management as a improvement district design engineer until 1990.  From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Tamanaha was in charge of the construction section at the County of Kauai’s Division of Engineering.  He then worked one year at SSFM Engineers.

Mr. Tamanaha was involved with the design and construction management of a low pressure sewer system for the Mapunapuna Industrial Subdivision in Honolulu, and development of the City & County of Honolulu’s Department of Environmental Services Manuals for Spill Response Procedures for the Treatment & Disposal Division and Maintenance & Repair Procedures for the Collection System Maintenance Division.
